The dining room is the perfect place for socialising: the long dining table seats up to 8 people. With the double doors open and a view of the pool, you can enjoy the cool Atlantic breeze in summer. In winter, the wood-burning stove in the living room provides extra warmth alongside the central heating.
The dining room and living room flow seamlessly into one another. The living room is characterised by high, almost cathedral-like ceilings with a view of the exposed roof beams. Warm tones dominate the room. The wood-burning stove, flanked by a rammed-earth bench, creates a cosy atmosphere, with a spacious sofa opposite. But you can also make yourself comfortable on the bench by the stove. During the colder months, the bench by the stove is the perfect spot for dozing off and sleeping.
The living room is rounded off by a work corner for all those holidaymakers who have brought their digital office with them.
The well-equipped, spacious and glazed kitchen is the heart of the house. The foyer, living and dining rooms, and even the garden are transformed into ‘chef’s tables’ with a direct view into the kitchen. People can watch you cooking! If you like, you can even make yourself comfortable on the windowsill with some cushions. Next to the kitchen is a small utility room where you can use the washing machine and tumble dryer.
The swimming pool is situated behind the house. From the dining room, the kitchen or the beige-coloured room, you have direct access to the terrace and the swimming pool. On the large terrace surrounding the pool, you can soak up the sun, have a barbecue by the garden fire pit and enjoy a convivial meal together. The swimming pool offers a pleasant way to cool off during the hot summer months.
Please follow the swimming pool rules when using it! Twice a month, someone comes to clean the pool. We thank you for your understanding regarding this inconvenience, but it is the only way to ensure the pool water remains pleasant and clean for you to bathe and swim in.
The 3,300 m² garden offers you every opportunity to relax. Once a month, the gardener comes to mow the lawns. We thank you for your understanding should this take place during your stay with us.
From your box-spring bed (180cm x 200cm), you can watch the morning sun rise. Plane trees provide plenty of shade throughout the day during the summer months. Your room has a small terrace, which you can access via double glazed double doors.
The room has a spacious built-in wardrobe for your clothes and other items. The bed (160cm x 200cm) is flanked by reading lamps and bedside tables. Outside your room, you can watch the evening sun set whilst sitting in your summer chairs.

A spacious bathroom with two washbasins, a shower and a toilet is complemented by a separate toilet and an additional shower room with a sink.
Check-in is available from 14.00 am on the day of arrival. Please let us know by the evening before at the latest when you plan to arrive. We’ll be there to welcome you in person. We’ll give you a quick tour of the house and garden and answer any questions you may have. You’re also welcome to contact us at any time after check-in. We'll welcome you with a little surprise gift when you arrive, so you can start your vacation on a relaxed note. You'll find it on the kitchen counter on the right. Welcome!
Check-out on the day of departure must be by 10.00. A later check-out may be possible by prior arrangement with us. We’ll pop round briefly at check-out to carry out a quick handover with you.
You can usually check in between 14.00 and 20.00 on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, check-out is usually by 10 am. In special or emergency cases, we can usually accommodate individual requests.
Please let us know immediately if you have damaged anything. Only then can we arrange for repairs or replacements straight away. That way, the next guests can enjoy the same level of comfort as you did!
The pool is protected by a safety cover. Before using the pool, please always unfasten the buckles on the cover and only then roll up the pool cover.
Use of the pool is at your own risk and responsibility. Please do not leave your or other children unattended by the pool at any time whilst the cover is open.
When entering the pool, please be aware that the pool floor may be a little slippery after the last step. So be careful when getting in! The pool water is cleaned automatically every day. There is also a net by the pool, so you can fish leaves out of the water yourselves if you wish.
If the pool water becomes cloudy, please contact us so that we can arrange for an extra clean. Someone usually comes once a month to clean the pool. We apologise if the cleaning is scheduled to take place during your stay.
We provide bed linen, towels (2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 washcloths per person) and 6 kitchen towels. These are included in the rental price. The beds will be made upon your arrival. If you run out during your stay, simply use the washing machine and tumble dryer on site.

As a general rule, please sort your trash into four categories.
Yellow bin: Packaging, plastic, and paper;
Black-and-green bin: General waste;
Small blue bin: Glass.

Inside the house, there are two trash cans to the left under the countertop: The general waste trash can is on the left. On the right is the yellow bin. Always collect general waste in trash bags and place them in the bin. Always collect items for the yellow bin loose and place them loose in the bin. When the glass container is full, please take your glass to the recycling bins either at the Salle de Fête or in the town hall parking lot. The garbage collection service empties the yellow bin every Wednesday. Please place the yellow bin in front of your driveway in the morning with the handle facing the street. If you’re staying at our house in the summer, please make sure to keep the house cool by thoroughly airing it out in the morning so that cool air can flow in. After that, it’s best to close the windows and, in the morning, the shutters on the pool side, and in the afternoon, the shutters on the street side. That way, the house will stay nice and cool throughout the day.
Hot water is provided by a heat pump. Even though we use water-saving showerheads, we ask that you limit the length of your showers.
For your personal care and hair care, you’ll find eco-friendly products in refillable containers on-site. The dishwasher tablets come without plastic packaging.
For the cooler transitional periods in fall and spring, we recommend using the wood stove for heating at first. You’ll find wood under the stove bench, and there’s also more split wood in the garden. As soon as the stove’s exhaust air reaches more than 20 degrees, the ventilation in the dining room and kitchen will start automatically. If this doesn’t happen, please turn on the switch to the right of the exhaust chimney.
In winter, we recommend closing the shutters at night to keep the heat inside the house. The heat pump’s temperature control is located directly to the left of the house entrance.
The house is generally accessible at ground level. The main entrance door is 90 cm wide and has a clear opening width of 83 cm. The interior doors and bathrooms are at least 80 cm wide and have a minimum clear opening width of 77 cm. However, there is one step in each of the two bathrooms leading to the shower. Consequently, the house is not wheelchair accessible. There is one step to reach the pool. The pool entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
The Orange Wi-Fi router is located in the utility area on the table to the right, above the washing machine. There is a small screen in the center of the router. Using the arrow keys, you can either retrieve the access code or scan the QR code.
Turn on the TV remote control (with colorful buttons and a rectangular shape) and wait until the TV boots up and connects to the Wi-Fi. At the same time, turn on the remote control for the Orange TV box (black and slightly rounded). The TV will then prompt you to select an input. Please select HDMI-1. After that, you can use the Orange remote to select French TV channels, Netflix (house account), or Eurosport (house account).
The fuse box is located in the utility room, to the right above the washing machine. If a fuse has blown, the switch will be in the down position. This applies to both the large red main fuse and the small individual fuses. Push the fuse back up, and the power should come back on. If the fuse trips again, please unplug the affected appliance. If it is an appliance we supplied, please contact us immediately. Please also contact us if you are unable to resolve the problem.
If it's a small fire that you can put out yourselves, you'll find a small fire extinguisher in the utility room to the right, above the washing machine. Otherwise, we recommend that you immediately call 18. This number connects you directly to the fire department and emergency medical services.
In case of an emergency, theft, assault, threats, etc., please dial 17. This number connects you directly to the police or the gendarmerie.
To reach the fire department or emergency medical services, please dial 18.
For acute medical emergencies, please dial 15. This will connect you to SAMU, the medical emergency service. They will determine whether an ambulance, emergency doctor, or another service needs to be dispatched.
For medical assistance in non-life-threatening situations, please call the family doctor on-call service at 116 117.
